Born in Brazil, Luiz Simoes lives and works in Barcelona since 1986. He currently has his life divided among his studios in Brazil and Spain. His approach to art drinks from several sources, such as painting, sculpture, objects, music, or audiovisual brushstrokes in sculptural works, in which the image is part of a whole. In disagreement with the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words", his work is justified precisely with the word, having always a theoretical and philosophical body around which his works are born and develop.
